The staff of EKMS saved a life on March 11, around 12:30PM, when a delivery man collapsed in the lunchroom parking lot. Staff members who have been trained in CPR and AED responded to the CODE VALENTINE alert. Teachers and paraprofessionals performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions. The man is alive thanks to the First Responder Team and quick thinking of the EKMS staff.

At least 150 parents and students joined about 50 teachers to celebrate Family Reading Night on March 11. Different reading activities included a Book Walk, book fair, Reading Under the Stars (with Star Lab!) and other exciting events. Families enjoyed milk and cookies, and the evening ended with door prizes.
